Greg Nelson
Member of the Board
Greg Nelson is President of Rotherwood Investments, LLC a Minnesota organization providing financial and tax advice for client families on a multi-generation basis.
From 1978 through 1991, Greg was a tax consultant for Arthur Andersen & Co., specializing in the areas on compensation and personal financial planning. He was responsible for the personal financial planning practice of Arthur Andersen’s Washington, D.C. office and was a member of the firmwide personal financial planning team. In this capacity he provided financial advice for individual clients and philanthropic organizations throughout the world. Since 1991 Greg has served as an officer in various investment advisory firms and has been a member of the Board of numerous corporations and philanthropic organizations.
Greg has been a speaker at several financial planning and family foundation conferences and has been quoted on financial planning topics many times in the financial press. He has appeared as a guest commentator on CNBC and was quoted regularly on financial planning topics in the Washington Post.
In recent years, Greg has worked with the Oswald Family Foundation (OFF) in the areas of micro-finance, social entrepreneurship and high-impact grant strategy. In 2004 he traveled with OFF to Kenya and Tanzania where he visited several high-impact philanthropic organizations, including three CFWshop stores.
